Lynn, although I didn't get a chance to vote, your photo was hands down my favorite. The amazing depth of field used to show off that clear little bluebird and the fact that you could GET a bluebird to light on a branch long enough to get this beauty is enough to impress me!

thanks!

I don't like any of them, not even the "Alice in Wonderland" shot. But then again, what do I know!

In the 4th image down, the image for the month of April, those
crooked things in real life are referred to as shutters, not doors.
They are hanging from window frames not door frames, that
should have been your first clue.

Okay, just wondering was Awesome Annie’s commentary is honest or just to get us all fired up? In any event, love checking it out!
Some of my thoughts:
Jan - Who cares about the gender, photo shouted JOY to me. Looking closer, wish the garages weren't there... I'd rather nature based. Bare feet would have added too.
Feb - Yes, staged but a new way to look at those elements. I got caught up in the curves.
March - Like the diagonal, that's about it.
April - Love the color work and the shutters, no character without!
May - Hummm, looks like a southern plantation I visited...
June - Liked the colors, could I keep the boat?
July - Obvious Photoshop, not impressed.
Aug - Love the water, caught the wave great... but I live for summer and beaches!
Sept - My favorite comment from Annie! Never even saw the eyes, she made the boring fun! WTG Annie!
Oct - Nat'l Geo here we come, speaking of being picky... I didn't like the bobby pins!
Nov - I tire of pet photos, rent a kid! (how's that for a comment with edge?)
Dec - I was mesmerized by the platium color of the water, flower should have been something more original.

So glad Annie gave her review, missed it untill now. Thanks Annie!

Unless these lights conduct electricity like a diode, in one direction only, aren't they actually pulsing at twice the line frequency? Once for the positive peak of the sine wave and once for the negative peak?

Not that this helps any of us, just an FYI.

Good photos! My two favorites (in order) were Terra McDermott's photo of the little boy looking at the baseball diamond. More than the composition itself, I liked the sense of wonder and innocence it brought out. Great photo.

I liked the way Wendy Barrett's photograph of the cowboy and the dog made me go back to look at it a few times. The more I looked - the more I laughed, and the more I liked it.

Editor's note:

The reference to "Earth" was intended as D the Shadowman's residence - not the title of this incredibly well titled photograph. Also, for those of you who attend the reception at Bank of America in the village of New Hartford from 5 to 7 on Tuesday November 6th, check out the PG version of this award winning image.
