Winter is a great time to work on the preservation and cataloging of your photographic images and negatives - negatives you say ? Correct.

Most photographers that have so enthusiastically embraced digital technology have evolved from film cameras. These ” old timers ” have negatives, slides and prints that need to be archived. Storing and handling these items without the proper protection can cause all sorts of damage and problems. Dust, dirt, scratches and extreme environmental conditions are just some of the problems that may occur during storage. Others include harmful chemicals in some storage materials, such as cardboard boxes, vinyl or plasticized (PVC) sheets, kraft envelopes, non acid-free paper, and glassine envelopes.

Archival pages are available in many sizes that are perfect for the long term storage of negatives, slides and prints. They are a reasonably priced insurance policy for your negatives and prints.
